Rollers Take On Sharps in Molepolole

As the BTC Premiership enters its business end, Township Rollers and Sharps Shooting Stars meet in Molepolole on Sunday afternoon what should be an entertaining in a Match Day 22 fixture.

The Blues have struck form at the right time, scoring 12 goals and keeping clean sheets in the past three league games; victories over BR Highlanders (6-0), Orapa United (2-0) Black Forest (4-0).

Popa head coach Rodolfo Zapata told on Saturday that he is more impressed with the effort players put into a performance as opposed to just the results and expects more effort against Sharps.

“As a coach, I analyse performance not results, and I’m very happy with Township Rollers performances,” Zapata said. “Of course goals are important, even in our personal life…you never go through life without goals. Life represents football. If there are no goals in your life you can not win; so we need goals! Sharps, like most of the team in BPL play a 4-4-2 formation with 2 fast strikers. I respect them but I don’t considered it as a priority because we are Township Rollers and i strong believe in our players.”

When Popa face Sharps, ten days will have passed since the last outing against Black Forest, and midweek the Blues had a friendly match practice against Black Peril in order to keep match readiness.

“I like to play friendly games to keep our non starters in shape. Black Peril is a very good test because they play like most of the teams in this league. Next week we will play more friendly games to give game time to everyone,” said Zapata.

The Argentine coach added that he will maintain an attack minded approach against Sharps.

“We will approach this match like always. I want to impose our style. This means attacking football. Its a risky style because we will attack sometimes with 7 players, but I want to win the game since the beginning. We have to show our fans that we want to win the league and FA cup,” Zapata said.
