Mogakolodi “Tsotso” Ngele opened the scoring for the Blues with a 17th minute direct free kick before Sua equalised 20 minutes later through a Samuel Makgoro penalty.

Early in the second half, Cleopas Dube scored for Sua before Mosha Gaolaolwe equalised for Popa.

A determined Sua deserve credit for how hard they worked all game.

But Popa will feel hard done by after what looked like a legitimate Tlhalefo Molebatsi effort was ruled out for offside in the first half, and the Sua penalty having been awarded after Lone Taele brought down an opponent outside the box.

Rollers will also rue some missed chances that could have earned the full points.

Sérgio Traguil kept the same starting line up from the previous week’s game, the 1-0 win over Prisons XI.

THE MATCH

Rollers entered the contest determined to attack. In the second minute, Segolame Boy played the ball wide to Motsholetsi Sikele whose cross was cut out by Sua goalkeeper Kenneth Mmoko.

Tsotso Ngele then floated in a fifth minute free kick, Mmoko punching the ball away before Gaolaolwe could strike.

Motsholetsi Sikele then played in a cross deep into the box but Terry Uiseb saw his close range effort go over the bar.

Rollers then took the lead, Ngele hitting a free kick from the edge of the box. Mmoko in the Sua goal should have done better but the ball sailed into the net.

Sua put a lot of energy into their attacking game and in the 29th minute had their first real chance; Rollers goalkeeper Kabelo Maphakela being forced into an acrobatic one handed save.

Then came two crucial refereeing decisions just three minutes apart- the 33rd minute Molebatsi effort disallowed and then the 36th minute decision to award Sua the penalty.

Makgoro converted the spot kick in the 37th minute to draw Sua level.

Three minutes later, Sua had a goal of their own disallowed; Dube’s effort ruled out for an infringement in the build up.

Sua goalkeeper Mmoko pulled off a one handed save in the 44th minute to keep the scoreline at one apiece at the break.

Four minutes after the break, Sua got the lead; Botshelo Mafoko’s delicate chip deceiving the Rollers rearguard and going in off of Dube

Gaolaolwe then equalised for Popa just four minutes later.

The two sides continued to look for the winning goal.

An Uiseb header hit the upright in the 80th minute.

Popa had to settle for the 2-2 draw and next play Security Systems at the National Stadium next weekend.
