Rollers appoint new headcoach , set to face Kaizer Chiefs

Township Rollers on Tuesday unveiled Czech Republic born Tomas Trucha as the new head coach, and Zachariah Muzadzi as his assistant, as the Blues prepare to start a pre-season programme that includes a high profile international friendly against South African giants Kaizer Chiefs.
Popa will face the Amakhosi in Gaborone on Saturday, July 20 with the venue and other match day logistics due to be announced soon.
Speaking at the club offices in Gaborone on Tuesday, club president Mr Shah welcomed Trucha and Muzadzi to Popa and said they would work with the existing technical team that includes second assistant coach Leutlwetse Tshireletso, goalkeeper coach Thabo Motang and physical trainer/conditioning coach Chyna Mokaila.
Rollers will begin pre-season training on Wednesday, July 3, and will proceed to Rustenburg, South Africa for a further training on July 13, before returning home to host Chiefs on July 20.
Mr Shah said in hosting Kaizer Chiefs, Rollers would continue to cement the strong relationship forged between the two clubs over the past five years.
Kaizer Chiefs Corporate Communications Manager, Vina Maphosa, who was accompanied by team manager Gerald Sibeko and club physiotherapist Dave Milner, said Chiefs and Rollers have a good working relations.
“We uphold the highest standards and we are visiting Rollers, a club we know upholds high professional standards. We will be bringing a strong team including our new signings,” Maphosa said.
Meanwhile, Mr Shah revealed that Rollers is working on adding new players to the squad, and the club would soon announce the signing of the new players after their transfers were concluded.
