Motsholetsi Viva Sikele has established himself as one of the most effective midfielders in the Popa side since his arrival to Township Rollers in 2012.

Hailing from Lobatse, Viva Ramires completed his studies and started playing football at Lobatse Stars Development Team from 2006 for 2 years. He later moved to BMC FC (Botswana Meat Commission FC ) in 2008. During his reign of 4 years at BMC FC, he played for all the junior teams of Botswana : Under-17, Under-20 and Under-23. Sikele astoundingly guided BMC to earn the League runner up title in the 2011-2012 season.

With more success to follow, Sikele constituted in the BISA (Botswana Integrated Sports Association) Team, earning 4 Championships for the nation. Sikele was also part of the Under-20 national team to represent the COSAFA Cup in 2006, where Botswana finished third.

Noticing his superior attacking prowess from the flanks and incredible skill as an attacking midfielder that can pose a threat to the opponents, Rollers penned a 3 year contract with him from 2012.

A quick, inventive and attacking winger, having played for all junior team, he finally received a well-deserved National Team call up while playing for Rollers in 2014. He successfully represented the Zebras squad in 3 international fixtures. After climbing the ladder step by step, this tricky winger always took the game to a new level, helping him reach higher echelons of football.

He displayed a spectacular performance in the 2013-14 season, with 8 goals in all competitions(7 goals in the league and 1 goal in Macom Top 8) helped Popa win their 12th League title that season.

But the winger would not stop there, though. His close control, tight turning circle and acute spatial awareness has developed sharper than ever while playing with Popa in each game and few defenders even fear to be near him – on either flank.
